The story unfolded beautifully in layers. And then later on, we also a few present day scenes here and there from his perspective as well. This was perfect really because it allowed us to follow her story while still connecting emotionally to Archer. We were told the story mostly from Bree's POV but with a few flashback scenes from Archer's childhood. I truly think that that's a sign of great writing because I mean, I didn't even know these characters yet but I already cared so much!! My heart was breaking for them and I desperately wanted to know more. I was already completely invested in the story. I was barely 2% into the book before I had tears in my eyes. Yes, it is a part of the Sign of Love series, but that is a series of standalone novels - each main story is separate from the others. You do not have to read any other book before this and it has a complete resolved ending that beautifully wraps up this entire story. I strongly encourage everyone to read it!!
